We will be performing a work-in-progress performance of a piece we are developing together with Plume Animation based on the H.G. Wells novel. This will be performed before our Margate/Dreamland performance at Shoreditch Town Hall on 27th and 28th October (not 26th).
We are performing live with Nigel and Louise at Shoreditch Town Hall 26th-28th October. The piece, called margate/dreamland, is about an island, a town and its people.
It is our response to the current state of the world and its imminent collapse.
It is about the kaleidoscope of competing narratives of who we are.
It is a love song.
Made with generous help from the people of Margate and with support from Arts Council, England; Tom Thumb Theatre, Margate; Shoreditch Town Hall and National Theatre Studio.
Running Time: 60 min
We’re off on tour again, and we’re super chuffed to be supporting Fujiya & Miyagi. See below for the full list of dates:
See you on the road!
We think bandcamp is the best thing since sliced bread – it’s allowed us to stay independent, whilst sell and distribute our music worldwide. Now they’re using our track Lost: Eric to promote the new ‘Discoverinator‘ function.
And while you’re at it – zip over to our bandcamp page to get one of the last few remaining Cassettes…
We had the pleasure of acting as ‘soundcarriers’ for legendary Can frontman; Damo Suzuki at his show in Brighton on 19th June. The show also featured Ann Shenton (from Large Number / Add N to X) and Feline1.
Damo’s philosphy of ‘Instant Composition’ or improvisation has seen him play a never-ending tour since 1983.
Above is a short excerpt of the show for those who missed it (however 4mins of a 1.5hr show doesn’t really do it justice!).
And here’s a collection of photos from the event taken by Melita Dennett;
And here is a lovely cartoon experience of the event by Missy Tassles;
We’re very excited to announce that we’ll be supporting The Dandy Warhols on their UK/European tour in April. We’ll be playing with them on the following dates;

Dispatch #1 was released last year on very limited edition cassette (250 copies). Each one is hand numbered and features an individual linocut print. Don’t worry if you don’t have a cassette deck anymore – they all come with free download versions (we’ve even included bonus download versions with the authentic tape hiss!).
You can get it now from our Bandcamp Store:
This is a little video that we made to compile all our old favourite 80s cartoons. The track is ‘Tracers’ which we recorded late last year.
We spent the evening last night drinking beers and packaging up our first single – Dispatch #1. Each cassette is hand numbered and comes with a special hand-printed linocut artwork. A special shoutout to Jimmy who helped us with the printing – thanks for the inky fingers!
The cassette is available from our bandcamp – http://akdk.bandcamp.com and comes with a free digital download version. We have included two versions of the download – one is recorded back off the cassette so you can make your mp3 player sound like an 80’s cassette walkman… geeky retro?
